You asked why people aren’t saved through good works. The bible has a lot to say about it, and what it says may be the basis for a lot of animosity between religious franchises.

2 Corinthians 11:15
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the jugment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

Soooooo, there’s a little problem here. God says according to works, God says not according to works. He’s a Trickster God!

I’ve noticed a common theme in all your hate mail, Bob. From your hate mail, it would appear that there are only two types of Christians.

1. A Christian who is offended by your website and calls you names, telling you that you are wrong.

2. A Christian who is offended by your website, but apologizes for the behavior of other hate mailers, in the hopes that you’ll be swayed by their kindness and convert immediately.

They’re still a bunch of sheep, however…

How dare you to poke fun at my savior Jebus, I mean Mohammad, I mean God, I mean Allah, damn it, I mean quit offending my silly childhood beliefs. Momma and grandma told me that they were true, therefore they must surely be true, otherwise momma and grandma would be made out to be liars and you better not be calling my momma or grandma a liar!

This proves the bible and koran are really true.
